Leaders in EMS Education

Two ambulances, donated by Weld County Paramedic Services will be used for paramedic education & community outreach. Wrapping of the vehicles provided through a grant from the St. Anthony Health Foundation.

FFL Back-up Helicopter

FFL recently completed refurbishing most helicopters. There is still a backup helicopter, with the same capabilities, in use at the St. Anthony Central Hospital base until fall of 2010.

St. Anthony Hospitals PreHospital Services provides EMT - Basic, Intermediate and Paramedic Refreshers and Practicals.

EMT-Basic/Intermediate/Paramedic Combined Refresher
October / November 2010 Dates TBA

Class Times: 4 sessions
32 hours of lecture (Cost $300)

St. Anthony Hospitals PreHospital Services standard refresher course is designed to fulfill the continuing education requirements for Colorado State and/or National Registry EMT recertification. It also may be used by current state certified EMT's who are applying for initial National Registry certification. The course is presented in a continuing education lecture format with supplemental non-instructor contact hours. There is no final exam for this course.

Operations - 2, Peds - 12, Trauma - 6, Medical - 6, ABC - 6
Contact the EMS Office for non-instructor contact options. Credit may also be allowed for prior CE hours.

Intermediate/Paramedic Students: 
Each ALS (Intermediate/Paramedic) will need to have valid ACLS and PALS/PEPP certification on first day of class. Credit will be given to each student based on their ACLS/PALS or PEPP certifications. PALS and ACLS recertification may be obtained through Colorado Advanced Life Support (http://www.coloradoacls.org/)
