EKG Training - The Next Step for an EMT

This course is designed to teach the basic skills of reading an EKG to individuals with no prior EKG knowledge. You will learn to recognize and understand normal and abnormal EKG patterns. This class will allow practice recognition and analysis of EKG strips as you gain understanding of common EKG rhythms and the management strategies of treating arrhythmias. Because our versatile EKG education is designed to meet the ever changing schedules of today's EMTs, students may choose to attend our standard classroom course or select to complete the training totally online. Please read the following two course options carefully before deciding whether to apply for the classroom course or the online course.

  • Classroom EKG Course: Learners, who benefit the most with live instruction, will enjoy the opportunity to interact with other EMTs and the instructors in a formal classroom setting. The course consists of five 4 hour sessions and a final exam. Next classroom EKG Course will be offered June 12, 14, 17, 19 and 21 from 5 to 9 p.m. Apply Online for Classroom EKG course.
  • Online EKG Course: The self-paced online course is offered in conjunction with Lifeline Health & Safety Educators. This course allows lecture material to be viewed anytime, anywhere, on most computers and mobile web devices. Integrated online testing modules and workbook exercises complete the learning experience. In some cases, an on-site final examination may be required. Students will be allowed up to 6 weeks to complete the program. Apply for Online EKG Course with Lifeline Health & Safety Educators
